Following the Google’s free navigation application for the Motorola Droid, Nokia is now bringing in free GPS navigation to its smartphones. The speculations of the free GPS navigation application from Nokia came from a report by San Francisco Chronicle. Now you can get turn-by-turn directions covering 74 countries in 46 languages.”

Analyst say that the phones would GPS chips and a free navigation software would be enough for the navigation needs and could replace the standalone devices completely.
The sales figures for Nokia have been on a constant decline since the introduction of iPhone and Andoid. Nokia is considering the fee GPS navigation as a turn-around strategy for regaining its market share in the smartphone category. Will Nokia be able to do that? Do tell us in the comments.
