A survey that shows that the Apple mobile users are the most addicted apps downloaders (well to be fair others don’t have many apps to play with), it is revealed by AdMob that 50% iPhone users and 35% iPod touch users download at least an app a month, this surely leaves out the bunch of enthusiasts who boast a full 9 / 11 screen full of apps. Giving more data on App usage, AdMob mentions that iTouch users spend the maximum time on apps, i.e. 100 mins a month, followed by 89 mins of webOS (Palm) users. In the race of App downloads, iPod touch scores again with an average user downloading 12 apps a month compared to close to 9 apps a month downloaded by Android and iPhone users.
If this trend is any indication, we know why the iPod touch doesn’t have a camera yet. Apple is surely seeing great potential for it to be a handheld which can do lot more than just music!
