The latest word from the analyst stable is that Apple will beat RIM in the samartphone marketshare sometime in 2011. iPhone has been a superhit ever since it was introduced in 2007 and it still remains a white horse for Apple. On the other hand Blackberry has ruled the enterprise market and its a die hard termite sticking to the business users addicted to a physical qwerty.
Trefis now predicts that Apple will settle with 11% market share in 2011 and the Blackberry will manage only
8%. Given the fact that Android would overtake iPhone in 2012 (another analyst prediction we heard sometime back); it means that Android will be the market leader in 2012?
Blackberry’s both attempts with a touchscreen have kinda bombed and failed to impact the iPhone. Whereas the iPhone is making inroads into the business market. The iPhone 4G holds the key to this prediction though …
