Replacing the iPod, iPod touch or iPhone battery and for that matter even some Macbooks is a pain with there being no option of a removable battery. No matter how good the battery quality and life is, it has to wear out one day and there would always be cases where the battery dies out early. So how do you go about replacing the iPad battery if you happen to be one of those who needs a battery replacement?
While 3rd party repair houses will start offering quotes soon you can actually hand over the iPad to Apple Care and get the battery replaced (either under warranty or with a charge). The issue here is that you might have to live without the iPad for a few days at times.
However there is another option that Apple now has for you. You can simply return your iPad along with $99 and get a new iPad instantly (provided your iPad is in good condition.) This is a smart move by Apple and it actually earns them some money even if the iPad returned was in Warranty (yeah they are giving a new one i Know, but still!)
