Now that Apple has made it clear that the iPhone 3G won’t feature multitasking even though iPhone OS 4.0 would be made available for it. Hackers are at work to make it work for the 3G and who knows, perhaps for the 2G aswell! iPhone hacker cdevwill has already managed to get the OS 4.0 preview working on the 3G with multitasking. This was done with a simple modification of the N82AP.plist. However there is doubt on API’s for multitasking working on the 3G and performance cannot beĀ guaranteed. Video downstairs:
We can be sure that once the iPhone OS 4.0 is official, there will be many more such hacks to make the 3GS version work on the 3G.
