Skype now supports 3G/EDGE calling

Skype is updated to version 2.0 and finally it supports 3G calling (you can make skype calls over 3G network). You can also call skype to skype if you are on EDGE connection. 3G call service would remain free until atleast end of August, after that you have to pay a monthly fee, again it depends on Operators and data charges will also apply. The update also includes better sound quality as new codec has been implemented for iPhone 3GS and iTouch2G. Enchanched quality inidicator is the another thing that you will notice while making calls in this version. Apart from that this version completely supports jailbroken devices, though when you first launch it after updating you will see a Warning that it will work on unmodified firmwares (Tap on OK without giving a second thought), it works smoothly on my jailbroken iPhone 3G 😛
