In what appears to be the more costlier hardware than the Apple iPhone 3GS of 2009, the iPhone4 components bill-of-materials cost is estimated at $187.51 by iSuppli. The iPhone 4 launch has been nothing short of a hungama and the advanced antenna system, super display and updated iOS 4 is a talk of the town these days. Apple has all that it takes to impress the geeks, right from the A4 processor to a iMovie app for video editing.
Some of the interesting bits here are the A4 SoC that costs just over $10 and the 16GB flash memory from Samsung costing $27. As expected the Retina Display is the most expensive at &28.50. Here is the total cost sheet:
