Since 2007 when the first gen iPhone arrived we have seen major upgrades bought into the iOS released. The Current iOS4 brings cool features like FaceTime, Multitasking, Categories & now GameCenter. However, we are still awaiting a full featured contacts and phone app for the iPhone. Features like Speed-dial, Contact grouping, Search by number are still missing in the iOS. Though there are a few apps that brings all these features, it doesnt integrate it into the default Phone.app.
Its a pain to use Outlook Express to sync contacts and create groups in there as the process is a bit complicated. Contact Grouper is one app that enables you to create groups on your default phone.app itself without the need of iTunes. The app is paid on Appstore and comes for $0.99. The app delivers what it promises though I would say it can still do better. With the app you can sort contacts and create groups but only manually by adding single contacts to groups. It would have been better if you could just mark the contacts and they will be added automatically. This app is for people who have a loads of contacts on their phone as it becomes easier for them to search or even message. The app works completely fine even on iPhone 3G running iOS4. I will say its worth a try as its pretty cheap too!
