iOS is a family now. Apple has the iPad, iPod touch and the good old iPhone 3GS / 4 on sale. Given the fact that 120 million iOS devices are in consumer hands today, it is a question many marketers are interested in knowing: How many of these are iPod touch / iPhone or iPad? Well it seems that we have some answers. Given that we know Apple reached 3.2 million iPad mark last month and 59.6 millions iPhones were sold through June, it becomes fairly easy to zero down on no of iPod touch floating in the market.
The site assumed that 8 million iPhones and 4 million iPads were sold in August and July, which would leave the remaining share of 45.2 million units to the iPod touch. Out of the 120 million iOS devices, that would represent 37.7 percent. [Apple Insider]
Given the awesome next-gen iPod touch is out now, this figure should increase!
