Microsoft’s Bing has made its official entry to the iPhone (iOS) some time back and with Apple vs Google news floating all around it was also said that Bing would replace Google as the default search engine on all Apple handhelds. This looked very probable and Microsoft would certainly be ready to pay a ton to make that happen, but it seems Bing would have to stay as an option for now.
Google CEO Eric Schimdt has confirmed that the deal with Apple to keep Google the default search engine on all iOS devices was recently renewed. Not sure if its something to do with the change of heart Apple has had recently or its all commercial dealings, Google is sure to remain the biggest mobile search player for some time to come.
