All of 4 tweets and close to 50000 followers already. Yes its the iTunes App Store that has come to Twitter. After millions of iOS devices, hundreds of thousands of developers and 10 billion downloads from the App Store, Apple has finally got a dedicated App Store account on Twitter. The @appstore account on twitter seems to be tweeting popular apps and thats not just limited to free apps. Atleast 1 of the 3 apps tweeted out is a paid game.
It would be interesting to see if @appstore can be the hub for announcing some latest apps on the store, Apple sure knows beforehand whats going live on the App Store, don’t they? 🙂
The only 5 accounts that @appstore follows are the iTunes twitter handles (all verified again), i.e. iTunesTrailers, iTunesTV, iTunesMovies, iTunesMusic & iTunesPodcast!
