There has been a string of rumors related to the upcoming Apple iPad 2 most of which have said about it coming with front and rear cameras, a faster processor and not to mention, a much thinner body. Now, an analyst from Concord Securities has said that the iPad 2 would be coming with a new anti-reflection screen – like the Amazon Kindle. Amazon had ridiculed the iPads glossy screen in advertisements for the Kindle and it seems Apple would be getting back at the Kindle plugging that gap with the iPad 2.
Apart from the anti-reflection screen, the display would be at least 30 -35% thinner than the existing display of the iPad. The processor would be an ARM Cortex A9 dual core processor that would run at 1.2 Ghz.
There would be an upgrade to the graphics chip with the newer PowerVR SGX 543 making its way in. The RAM on the device would remain the same – only the clock speed would be increased to 1066 Mhz. The analyst adds that the iPad 2 would get a 0.3 megapixel front camera and a lowly 1 megapixel rear camera.
It remains to be seen how true this analysts words turns out to be.
