As the time passing by, we are approaching closer and closer to the much awaited March 2 event. Our excitements are on the highest level and so the expectations from next generation iPad. So, what do we really want from an iPad 2? The answers are uncountable but if we move towards rumors and leaks which we have observed in past few days, we will find that most of our expectations could turn out to be a reality. Let me start with some common expectations from each Apple enthusiasts:
Retina Display/Antiglare Display
Rumors were on hype when Apple firstly introduced Retina Display in an iPhone 4 that they could give it a push through iPad but what the latest reports shows is something different. Apple may drop this idea of introducing Retina display in next generation iPad, rather they will opt for Antiglare display. The reason behind this could be ‘Engineering issues’ as reported by many confidential sources.
Design (Thinner, Lighter and Slimmer)
The iPad is known for its sleek design and thinnest tablet in the market. The history reveals that Apple has always tried to make iPhone – the thinnest phone in the world from the very first generation. We can’t deny the fact that Apple will try its best to improve iPad further by making it more slimmer and thinner through the wonderful part of engineering. The next generation could be a bit lighter too. So, we can expect this design change from next generation iPad.
Processor and RAM :
The A4 ‘chip’ introduced by Apple with the launch of iPhone 3G S. This is right time for Apple when they could proceed further with a much better and speedy processor. ‘A5’ is the name which many speculated about the next generation chip. This will make next generation iPad more interesting to use. A better processor needs an appropriate amount of RAM. We think that this time Apple may go beyond expectations.
Battery:
iPad provides 9 hours of battery life. In the next generation iPad, Apple may increase the possibilities further so that people can use the tablet even longer. The competition hasn’t dine anything magical on this front but we like the battery efficiency of iOS.
Cameras (Rear and front):
This is the most anticipated feature and believed to be available in the iPad 2. A front facing camera for Facetime or video conferencing. Apple introduced Facetime in iPhone 4, extended it to Macbooks, iPod touch and now the gadget which lacks behind is surely the iPad. It is clear that Apple wants to enhance the feature tremendously. A rear camera for HD video recording at 720p and capturing moments through photos. Though Apple may surprise with no rear camera on a tablet, lets see.
Sound/Speaker:
Sound in the iPad badly needs an improvement. Though it’s not worse but also not even up to the mark. Rumors (Cases) suggested that Apple will shift the speaker to the backside of iPad, thus making it much better and louder. We are expecting it to be a must needed feature for may customers.
