The announcement is just a few hours away and we are all busy guessing what it would bring. Just as we sit down and think logically on what Apple aspires to do with the Apple iPad after carving out a neat niche and a multi billion dollar revenue channel last year, we think their actions are independent of its competition. So no matter what Dual-Core chips or HD cameras the Honeycomb comes in with, the iPad 2 has its own play.
One of the things I realized as an iPad user is the fact that I don’t want to use the iPad to click photographs! FaceTime is ok (though I don’t do video calling) but a rear camera to snap pictures isn’t very high on my priority list and I am guessing that its not for Apple either. So will Apple walk the hard line, ignore the competition and actually skip a rear camera on its tablet? Apple historically has been known to leave out things that it doesn’t think is important. By it the floppy drives before or the Blu-Ray now, we sure know that Apple won’t hesitate unless there is a real need for one!
On the same note, I would love a SD card slot on the iPad. It makes sharing images form my digicam so easy. Also some better solution to wirelessly transfer content between iOS devices? (or guess we would keep that in our iOS 5 wish list :))
