There has been quite a few reports in the Nokia vs Apple patent suit. For over a year we have seen these two companies sue and counter-sue each other and backup lawsuits with complaints to ITC. As predicted the patent battle would go on for years, but here is what ITC has to rule about one of the complaints that Apple made in December 2009 claiming 5 patents being infringed by Apple in its iPhone 3GS and iPod Nano (and several other products).
Nokia in a statement avoided commenting on the situation, but their lawyers are surely back to work on counter moves. Believe us fellas, this is far far from over. This particular ruling comes from Judge James Gildea of ITC, while a six member panel is expected to probe this later this year and the ball may well swing Nokias way there. Wait and watch!
“While Nokia does not agree with today’s initial determination that there has been no violation, we’ll wait to see the full details of the ruling before we decide on any next steps,”
