Several reports have suggested that Apple is planning to launch a refresh lineup of Macbook Air with integration of sandy Bridge processors and thunderbolt port. We have already seen the implementation in Macbook Pros and recently refreshed iMacs with the similar features. Though the only thing left are the Macbook Airs. Some Apple Stores have reported that the ongoing supply for the Macbook Airs has been restricted ahead of the WWDC (World Wide Developer Conference) in June. These occurrences are the clear indication towards a product launch in June/July. However, Apple has already confirmed about the iCloud, iOS 5 and Mac OS X Lion preview at 6 June.
The major change that we would be able to see in the new Macbook Airs will be the sandy bridge processor and the thunderbolt port for fast data transfer at a speed of 10 gigabytes per second. Apple has already started selling the refurbished Macbook Airs at an all time low price of $829. A price drop has also seen on BestBuy site where they are quoting $938 for the basic 11.6 inch model. If you are planning to buy the Macbook Air, we suggest you to wait until June/July.
