We were really not positive in the start about the iPhone 3GS support for iOS 5.0. If we consider the history, then iPhone 3GS should have been removed from Apple support but surprisingly, this didn’t happen and Apple still supported it. Since iOS 4.0, iPhone 3GS has all the features integrated, similar to iPhone 4. But some reports from the 9to5mac are suggesting that the company has missed some of the features which we have been demoed in WWDC 2011. Photos application is one of them.

According to 9to5mac, the photo editing options previewed during the keynote are not present on iPhone 3GS. This means that you cannot crop, rotate, resize or do red eye reduction from the third generation of iPhone. Now, the restrictions are not limited to these features, you cannot even double tap to brighten the exposure of the specific area in the image.
However, the possibilities might be due to the beta version for developers. Now, the question is – why did Apple deactivate them only on iPhone 3GS but not on iPhone 4? Nothing can be said until Apple releases the final version of iOS 5.0. Let’s know if you are a developer and noticed the similar limitations on your iPhone 3G S.
We would love to hear from you.
