Apple has recently seeded iOS 5 beta 2 to developers. This version supports all iDevices including iPhone 4, iPhone 3G S, iPod touch 3G & 4G, iPad 1 and iPad 2 (all variants). There is a possibility that Apple should have closed the backdoor of bypassing the UDID through this update. So, people who had earlier upgraded through a hack should keep away from iOS 5 beta 2 developer version.
The probability of the existence of iOS 5 beta 1 JailBreak through redns0w is high because these tools are based on the limera1n bootrom exploit. Though, they will remain dependent on a tethered JailBreak. As of now, only iPhone 3G S with an old bootrom can be JailBreak untethered on iOS 5 beta 1. If you rely on a JailBreak for the development, we request you to wait until tools from the DevTeam and iH8sn0w are upgraded. Also, don’t upgrade if you are not a developer.
Stay tuned for the changes in iOS 5 beta 1.
[update] : Apple has enabled wireless syncing in iOS 5 beta 2.
