The iOS 5 Beta releases is taking the another turn. Previously, Apple closed the Gevey interposer hole through the iOS 5 Beta 2 release and now they seem to be even more aggressive. History to be told, Apple started the concept of restricting downgrades to the lower firmware from iPhone 3G S. Since then the hacker community has found a way to make them possible on JailBroken iPhones through different tools. Some of them are the ‘TinyUmbrella‘ and ‘iFaith‘.
As per the DevTeam release note today, Apple is struggling hard to stop these downgrades to the lower firmwares even if you have SHSH Blobs saved for it. It is expected that iOS 5 release this fall will make the process even more difficult. Apple will permanently put a ban over saving your SHSH Blobs for the respective firmware, thereby, restricting the restore. You can check out DevTeam blog for more information on it.
