DevTeam has recently upgraded Redsn0w 0.9.8 to support iOS 5 Beta 4. As usual, thanks to Geohot’s limera1n bootrom exploit that can’t be killed by Apple until change in the hardware. However, the JailBreak will remain tethered till someone finds a patch to make it untethered. JailBroken iDevices users will not be able to update through enabled OTA update due to explicit check in /Applications. So, it is advised to either restore to iOS 5 Beta 4 manually from iTunes or restore to stock again.
