Google+ has recently started a new trend of suspending accounts of several people who provided false information on their profile. Two of the major contributors in hacking community of Apple have gone through the same phase. Firstly, it was MuscleNerd, member of DevTeam banned from Google+ after a review process and asked to reveal the real identity to their forms. And now, Comex who joined Google+ in an earlier days of its release when everyone was relying on an invitation.
Google didn’t tell us the exact reason about what took them to take this harsh action. Unfortunately, not only MuscleNerd and Comex have been targeted but also some of the people in my circle who followed the same saga. It seems that Google is really serious when it comes to their social networking security. Unlike Facebook, they may want to have credible people on their popular platform where there is no place for duplicate or fake profiles. Also, it appears to me that Google wants to maintain a standard similar to twitter where only verified account are considered to be authentic.
Well, i think that Google has put a lot restriction on this newly released social networking site. It will led people to end up their account and migrate again to twitter or Facebook where they have much more freedom. This may prove to be a step in a right direction. I’m unable to judge their strategy right now, may it’s too early to say anything.
