According to a report from BGR sources, carriers are already testing a 4G LTE iPhone 5 in their Labs. History to be told, Apple always sent prototypes of unreleased iPhone to majority of carriers across the world to test BaseBand and other related tasks. So that till the time next iPhone would hit Apple Stores, customers wouldn’t get problems in the signal reception. However, these iPhone 5 prototypes might look like an iPhone 4 to avoid any kind of leaks. Though, the internal hardware could have a huge difference.
The recent report has pictures of .plist file of the 4G LTE iPhone which is currently being tested by carriers. In these pictures, you can checkout the string ‘connected mode LTE’ which makes it clear that Apple is in all probability to release iPhone 5 with next generation technology.
Though the LTE technology is available only in a few select markets /countries for now, Apple would surely like to make an early start and doesn’t want to be left out in the race for LTE enabled devices. Still its not necessary that all the Apple devices that are about to be released will be 4G LTE enabled. Also the fact that 4G LTE consumes more battery, we hope to see a better battery performance on the new device.
