Apple recently seeded iOS 5 Beta 6 to developers. Undoubtedly, Apple is pushing iOS 5 Betas rapidly and it appears that Apple would break previous records of its limit of frequent releases. As always, you can update your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad from the device itself using Over The Air (OTA) feature. Users who JailBroken their iDevices on iOS 5 Beta 5 should normally update using the latest beta version of iTunes. Otherwise, you may brick your device. This is due to the fact that it would mess up with the system files.
DevTeam will soon release a JailBreak for iOS 5 Beta 6 in future due to the availability of limera1n bootrom exploit. Of course, the JailBreak would remain tethered because Apple has killed many files that lead to an untethered JailBreak. If you are not a developer, don’t update from any leaked firmware version. You always need a registered UDID from Apple which is cross checked at the time of restore for the first time. There is no way to bypass these restrictions through anyway. Let’s know if you found any major changes in iOS 5 Beta 6. It is expected that iOS 5 final would be available this fall.
