DevTeam has come up with yet another version of Redsn0w which lets you JailBreak your iPad 1 on iOS 5 Beta 6. Unexpectedly, Apple pushed some important fixes on iOS 5 Beta 6 through an important OTA update. Though, the firmware version remains the same. It means that you would have two iOS 5 Beta 6 of iPad 1, older and the updated one which may require Redsn0w 0.9.8b7. The JailBreak would remain tethered. With Redsn0w 0.9.8 b7, you can simply point out iOS 5 Beta 6 firmware of your iPad 1 on Redsn0w to follow the instructions further and boot into a fully JailBroken device.
Tethered Jailbreak implies that you would require to attach your iPad 1 to PC/Mac everytime it reboots. These reboots could be due to any reason. It is advised that you should save SHSH Blobs of your iDevice using TinyUmbrella to stay on the safer side. You would be able to restore on the same firmware version, iOS 4.3.3, in case if anything wrong happens in future. Also, don’t update to iOS 5 Beta 6 if you are not a developer because it requires bypassing of UDID check which is possible through Sn0wbreeze only. We will not be responsible for any bricked devices.
