Apple has sent an email to iOS developers according to which Apple is all set to wipe iTunes Match iCould libraries. iTunes Match is a service which has been made available free for developers that stores your non-purchased music from iTunes in iCloud. Apple has told in the email that it would be bringing some changes in the iCloud which requires deletion of the existing iTunes Match libraries.
Apple has also said that the deletion would take effect on September 26 at 9AM PDT. All iOS developers who are using the services and previously stored any non-purchased songs in the iCloud should make sure that all the data is available on the disk. Otherwise, instantly backup everything on an external device if you don’t want to lose anything important.
It is advised that all iOS developers must turn off the service from iDevices and iTunes. On devices, go to Store > iTunes Match and turn it off. On iDevices, navigate to Settings > Music and then turn off iTunes Match. The process should not affect data stored on your Mac/PC. But backing up data on regular basis is mandatory.
