Apparently, Apple is about to begin the production of the iPad 3 this quarter as per the Susquehanna Financial Group’s analyst Jeffrey Fidacaro.
Jeffrey Fidacaro quoting information from the notes of his colleague, Christopher Caso goes on to say that Apple is looking to build around 0.6 to 1 million iPad 3 and that the production for the same is slated to start by the end of the year.
Though there is no information on the specs of this next generation tablet by Apple. But there are rumors doing the rounds suggesting that Apple might be launching a mid range priced tablet to counter Amazon’s Kindle Fire, early next year and might come up with the feature laden standard priced iPad in the second quarter.
Personally, I don’t think that Apple might be bothered about Amazon’s Kindle Fire considering the fact that both of them serve different segments of the market though the same product category. But with Apple you never really know and nonetheless it would be interesting to see if Apple indeed is working on a low cost iPad.
