Have you ever liked the dynamic interface of Windows Phone 7, but don’t want to shift to the platform due to the absence of enough applications? Yes, we have a solution for you. Maha is an application on App Store which provides the similar interface as that of WP7. You can scroll left or right with the flick of a gesture and downwards to read all the tweets. And the animations which have been used in Maha application are quite similar to what you might have used in WP7.
In addition to it, it provides you the settings to pick the color you want for the text. You can even change the color of the background and the text depending upon your taste. The type of settings it includes are: General, Colors, Services and Advanced. All of them can be accessed with the flick of a gesture on left or right, just like the WP7. If you are in General settings, you would get the option such as auto refresh, load 100 tweets, how many tweets should be left after the reload, never preload etc.
We have already mentioned about the customizations in the color section. In services, you can manipulate the image upload service, the url shortener which should be used, any api proxy or an option to read later. If you flick ahead, you would find yourself in advance section, here we have scroll bar as per your needs, any shortcut to compose, the size of the font, the username which should be displayed, font settings, background image if you have any, clear cache etc.
We think that this WP7 like twitter application for iPhone provides much more functionality then the official application on the platform would do. There’s a lot to be customized in each aspect of the application. However, still we don’t have a push notification support for it which we always desired for. Though, the developer has written in the description that he has no plans to support it even in future. Alternative for push notifications is the Boxcar which is available for free in App Store.
Maha comes at a price tag of $1.99 in the App Store. You can download it from here: iTunes link
