FaceUnlock is Ported To iPhone, Coming Soon on App Store [Video]

With the arrival of Android 4.0 or IceCream Sandwich, we noticed a feature called FaceUnlock which allows you to unlock your smartphone using your face. However, it is confirmed that a photo or photo taken from the camera of other smartphone can easily bypass that method to unlock the device. Fortunately, the functionality might come on the iPhone as well. A developer has been successful in porting FaceUnlock method on an iDevice.

In the above embedded video, you can checkout  that the person is able to unlock the iDevice with the help of FaceUnlock. Though, you can’t replace the usual ‘slide to unlock’ screen and use the FaceUnlock application. We think that application would make its way through the entertainment category of App Store. Similar to it, many more applications have arrived in the App Store, but it looks much more accurate than them. Who knows that this turns into reality one day on an iPhone?

Beside replacing the usual lock screen on an iPhone, FaceUnlock can be used on the top of all other applications which uses the method to secure anything confidential or private.  We will let you know once FaceUnlock hits the App Store in the future. It’s expected that this application would be priced for free, so that everyone could try it out. What do you think about it? Let’s know in the comment section.
