If you are OS X user on Mountain Lion developer preview, you would have noticed that Apple has integrated all of the notifications system into the Notification center. It is something similar to what you usually see on an iOS devices running on iOS 5. In fact, Apple has learned from iPad to bring some of the amazing feature into OS X. Hiss takes it to a step further for people who wants their Growl alerts to appear on this notification center.
Hiss has been released from Collect3 who believe that Growl would themselves bring this feature in future. But due to their impatient behavior, they wanted to make it possible at the moment. Considering this, they released the solution for people who are as impatient as them. Perhaps, they have filled the void between the update from growl and OS X Mountain Lion official release. Moreover, Hiss is currently in beta stage. So improvements can be expected in near future.
In the meantime, you should definitely give it a try. The implementation from Hiss is only possibly if the growl alert come only from one single application. Otherwise, things doesn’t work out in the same way they should. However, Collect3 assure us that the features may hit in their updates soon. Let’s know in the comment section what do you think about this application for OS X Mountain Lion.
Have you tried it yet?
