Few days ago, Apple released second update of Java which was aimed to remove Flashback Malware from Mac OS X Lion. Today, they have released a standalone tool which could be installed on the Mac in order to remove the malware. This tool would remove the most common variants of the Flashback malware. Sometimes, the tool could require you to reboot your Mac OS X Lion for the same.
If, somehow, the malware is found by the tool on your Mac, you would be notified that the flashback malware has been removed. However, if you don’t have Java installed on Mac OS X Lion, you need not to bother about it. The malware attacks those systems who have traces of Java installed at any point of time. Also, if you had previously updated to the latest update of Java from Apple, the probability that the malware exist on your Mac is certainly less.
But still for the personal satisfaction, you can give it a shot. Let’s know you thoughts in the comment section.
