Okay so we now have a clear evidence that the eagerly awaited iOS 5.1.1 Untether Jailbreak is ready. Just today the famous hacker MuscleNerd published his notes shedding light on the progress of Jailbreak.
He writes that the Jailbreak by Pod2G works great on all devices except for the Apple Tv 2 for which there seems to be no jailbreak path up till now. He also tells that the kernel exploit founded by PlanetBeing helped him successfully apply the jailbreak on the iPhone 3GS and the 3rd Gen iPod which was not possible with the kernel exploit founded by Weatherman.
RedSnow, Absinthe 2.0 and Cinject all three will provide the jailbreak in different fashions. He hints at the release this week but also says that it depends on certain undisclosed factors.
So it’s now just a matter of time for the Jailbreak to release and free the iDevice.
