It was pretty much expected earlier that Apple could launch Mountain Lion on 25th July. Even last year when Mac OS X Lion hits the App Store, it was the day after the conference call. And according to 9to5Mac, Mac App Store would undergo overnight updates which is a clear indication that 25th July could be the date for the release of Mac OS X Mountain Lion.
Mountain Lion would be available through Mac App Store in the form of an OTA update which would be supposedly equal to 4GB. Existing Mac OS X Lion users can update to Mac OS X Mountain Lion directly. However, those who are on either Leopard or Snow Leopard needs to first upgrade to the latest version of Lion and then only they are eligible for Mountain Lion.
Mountain Lion from Apple brings 200 new features including the notification center, iMessages, Reminders, Gatekeeper, PowerNap, Airplay mirroring, dictation, deep Facebook and twitter integration etc. Mac OS X Mountain Lion would be available at a price tag of $19.99.
