Fresh reports are pouring in about the possibility of Apple live streaming todays iPad Mini event being held at San Jose. The company, until now only uploaded videos of its keynotes after the events got over. This time though, users of Apple TV might be able to watch the event unfold – live. Note that this is not confirmed news until now. The reason for the speculation to arise was because of a newly added section called ” Apple Events” to Apple TV.
It is likely that users of Apple TV would be able to see the event live since the page currently informs the users to “Tune in at 10.00 a.m on October 23 to watch this event live”. Currently, it is also unclear if the company would allow users to watch the event live from its website as well. It is however highly likely that apple would limit the live stream to Apple TV users.
If you are still wondering what we are on about here, let us remind you that there is an Apple event being held later today at San Jose. The company is largely expected to launch a smaller version of its iPad tablet – famously referred to as the mini iPad. While we do not have confirmed specifications of the product, current talks point towards the possibility of the device getting a 7.85 inch display and a lower resolution display (compared to its larger cousin of course). The iPad Mini would be Apple’s way of countering the threat posed by the likes of Google, Amazon, Barnes and Noble and a bunch of other Android tablet vendors who have tried to undercut the full sized iPad on price.
The new mini iPad is rumored to be much cheaper than than its larger screened sibling and will compete with the likes of the Google Nexus 7 and the recently updated Amazon kindle Fire tablet range.
