Undoubtedly, many developers have tried to come up with their own unique way to switch applications in an iOS devices. But Auxo tweak via Cydia certainly re-imagines the way we interact with app switcher on an iPhone. Currently it supports iOS 6.0, but the developer has assured that the tweak would support iOS 5.x version from next week onwards which would let it reach to many more people who have not updated their devices yet.
Once you install Auxo Tweak on a JailBroken device, you would get see a tiny screenshot with the icon of the application in the multitasking bar. Now this screenshot is not too small that it doesn’t give you an impression where exactly you left the application or which application you had been using a while back. Yes, this is where this application scores in application switching with respect to other popular tweaks like Zephyr. And we strongly feels that this is how Apple should have handled app switching in iOS from day one.
In fact, you can close those applications with a simple swipe down gesture which supports multitouch as well. In addition to it, if you slide a tad backwards in multitasking bar, you would see various toggles for instant access. This set of toggles have been divided into two rows where other row can be brought simply by swiping up from the same place. These toggles includes Wifi, Bluetooth, rotation lock etc which can be customised from the Settings.app itself. While this was not enough, it also changes the way you control music from the multitasking bar.
For music, you could check the Album art with much more controls and info on your iPhone. Auxo tweak has been priced at $1.99 which could be downloaded from the BigBoss repository in Cydia. However, the iPad version would arrive only in early 2013 which is not too far from now. You could also checkout the video embedded above for the rough idea on how the Auxo tweak works.
