If you own an A4 based device, we have a good news for you. You can use the same bootroom exploit and still tethered JailBreak your iPhone 4, iPod touch 4th generation or iPhone 3GS. On the flipside, evad3rs which is an iOS hackers team is working hard to make untethered JailBreak available as soon as Sunday.
The method to tether JailBreak remains the same. But you would need iOS 6.0 firmware to browse on the latest version of redns0w for the process to proceed further. This is due to the fact that redns0w is not yet updated to recognise any iOS version greater than iOS 6.0 until now. Do remember that you would need to connect to redsn0w again every time the device reboots.
It needs to be done for everything on the device to work perfectly normal. Otherwise, many apps might crash or fail to work in between. In redsn0w, point out the same iOS 6.0 firmware when you boot tethered. It would not automatically detect the traces of the firmware and your device wouldn’t reboot successfully.
