Everyone loves Apple products and so do thieves. It isn’t anything new to find Apple stores being robbed because Apple products sell like hot cakes and even the thieves know that! On Monday night at 7:00 PM, just before the Vancouver Apple store was about to close down for the day a group of three robbers armed with Bear Spray entered the store and sprayed approximately 40 customers before slipping away with some unknown quantity of iPods, iPads and MacBooks said local police.
Bear spray is a very dangerous version of Pepper Spray used for self defence, it contains ingredients derived from cayenne peppers that forced few victims for treatment from paramedics at the store.
As most Apple stores have products displayed with good spacing and remaining stored safely under the shelves, police reported that the robbers could not grab too many products before they fled away. The nearby police units arrived at the scene just after the attacks were reported but they were unable to find the three male suspects who fled away by car. Forensic experts remained at the scene till late night, trying to reconstruct the whole scene.
Customers reported that the whole mall thick pungent smell in the corridors of the Oakridge Mall, the scene of the robbery.
