Is Apple Planning To Launch A Bigger iPad?

This week Apple announced new controls and features of iOS 9 operating system designed specifically for the iPad. These new features includes a split-screen mode, second split-screen mode, picture in picture mode and new set of keyboard features.
The new split-screen mode will quickly open the second app in the right column which can be slided away. The second split-mode facilitates using two apps at the same time. Another new feature introduced in iOS 9 is the picture in picture mode. It allows a video to float over the other work one is doing on the iPad, with adjustable size and positioning.
Apple has included a new set of keyboard features in latest operating system update. These include the ability to swipe over the keyboard with two fingers to simulate a trackpad. These features are aimed to simplify moving around a document and selecting text.
These features will work fine on the existing iPad lineup also, through these features Apple is aiming at something big. Some of the new features will only be possible with big screen, this rises the speculations about new range of iPads. If sources are to be believed, this new iPad will be launched by this fall season.

Apple has reportedly been working on a project with 12.9-inch screen which is about the same size as a standard Mac laptop. Yet it didn’t work last year, and Apple didn’t use its Worldwide Developers Conference keynote this week to unveil one, either. However, Apple did have a session at its conference called Designing for Future Hardware. This meeting instructed app designers on prototyping and building apps for a wide variety of devices that don’t yet exist.
With these big-iPad-friendly features being announced for iOS 9, it may be possible to see the hardware this year. Apple usually releases its new operating system updates together with iPhone in September followed by iPad updates in October.
The sales of iPad, Apple’s fastest selling product have been declined recently. Apple is trying to differentiate the iPad as a powerful productivity device.
