Malware targets iPad users who run Windows

The iPad hype is a proving to be a good time for malware makers who are now using the latest Apple gizmo hype to spread their goodness* :P. Apparently this malware installs via a spammers spreading the word about a new version of iTunes that gives some extra features (“best performance, newer features and security.”) for iPad users. If you installed the fake update the malware which is a data harvester gets activated on your system.

The malware doesn’t infect Mac users but anyone on a PC is vulnerable to this one and might end up loading vital personal details like login info for email accounts or saved info from messengers and other accounts. The malware also steals software license keys and serial numbers from installed programs. It seems that the popularity of Apple products is becoming a problem for PC users. So beware and install iTunes from nowhere but Apple.com 🙂
