Starting today, the Apple Store and Verizon have begun taking preorders for the iPhone 4S as per the schedule, which is to be delivered on the 14th of October.
The phones will be available in the following price ranges, $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for64GB on a two-year contract. Sprint will also be added to the iPhone carrier list from this year starting with the iPhone 4S, along with At&T and Verizon.
Though the new iPhone 4S doesn’t see radical changes in its spec sheet, we still expect it to sell like hot cakes similar to what happened last time with the iPhone 3GS. The iPhone 4S is expected to be available in retail stores starting from 14th October the same day as the delivery of the phone starts.
In case you are one of those waiting for an unlocked version of the iPhone 4S, you wont have to wait too long with them being made available in November for $649, $749, and $849 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions respectively.
While the whole world mourns the death of a great artist, icon, innovator and salesman, its imperative that his legacy lives on and is carried forward with the same zeal that “The Man” himself carried. No matter how many adjectives we use, it would still not be enough to describe a man with such rarely gifted talents. Farewell Steve, may your soul RIP.
