DevTeam has come up with yet another beta of Redsn0w which fixes the issue with Mobile Substrate based applications. Those users who used Redsn0w 0.9.10b2 over the pre-existing JailBreak, they experienced problems with certain applications. Most of these applications are interlinked with Mobile Substrate which has been addressed in this update. The latest version of Redsn0w is now Redsn0w 0.9.10b3.
As mentioned previously, you need to simply run it over the existing iOS 5.0.1 untethered JailBreak and don’t forget to uncheck Cydia. You might be facing other issues including iBooks ‘configuration error’ which can be fixed using this tutorial. Some people have reported issues with iMessage and push notifications after the hacktivation. Also, you can run it over the cooked custom firmware from the Pwnage tool.
