Tune Hunter, Inc has filed a lawsuit against Shazam Entertainment, Apple, AT&T and several others relating to patent infringement by the Shazam App on the App Store. Shazam is one of the apps widely promoted by Apple (video downstairs).
According to the lawsuit Shazam’s service violates the patent granted to Tune Hunter back in 2005. However, Shazam Entertainment makes music identification apps for many smartphones which prompts Tune Hunter to include all of them as respondents to the lawsuit.
