It was Motorola’s big day yesterday with the release of its Android offering: Cliq. The Cliq spec sheet is pretty much standard with a 3.1″ touchscreen, 5MP camera, WiFi, bluetooth 2.0, GPS, 3G and a physical sideways sliding QWERTY. Motorola has loaded the Android v1.5 with a custom UI called the MotoBlur. Blur syncs all your social media presence on the device beautifully. Right from Gmail to Twitter, everything is integrated.
The device has 512MB internal memory, 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB connector and supports micro SD cards up to 32GB. YouTube and Picasa are also integrated into the phone that lets you push your media online with ease. The Motorola Cliq is an impressive Android device that would certainly help Motorola recover its lost glory to the extent and hoping that they have better devices coming out next year, we await this one!
For many of us though iPhone works brilliantly, it would be unfair to compare the Cliq and the iPhone 3GS. Both have their target market.
