Fring is not new to us! But its good to have it officially via the AppStore for the iPhone version 2.0. Fring surely is the ultimate messenger for any mobile device, combining IM’s like Gtalk and VOIP tools like SKYPE. This brings SKYPE for the iPhone 3G! I guess Internet just got better on the iPhone.

Fring is free via the AppStore and is improvised. Fring now provides the ‘History’ and ‘Go To’ tabs.

Note: We are having problems registering with Fring on our iPhone 2.0.2. But we are trying!

Update: We now realize that Fring.com is down. Seems they got too much traffic (or perhaps our ISP sucks). Either ways, we will get an update about Fring on iPhone 3G shortly.

Update: Ok we are now able to use Fring after some teething problems with their server initially. Heres out review:

After using the AppStore Fring, we feel that the previous version we saw in 1.1.4 via Installer was better than this one. The call quality and connection was much more stable than what it is now. The app looks confusing and the layout needs a change. Perhaps the upcming version will do better!

Using Fring you can integrate your GTalk / MSN / SIP and ICQ and make free internet calls (i.e. it supports voice chat). It supports a variety of platforms form Symbian to Windows Mobile (and now the Apple iPhone).
