Apple iPhone 4 wins Design Patent

United States Patent and Trademark office finally awarded Apple with design patents related to iPhone 4 and iPod touch 2007 model. It’s been almost a year since Apple iPhone 4 has been launched formally and now the company’s design related patent got approved. The iPhone 4 Design Patent filing reads: The ornamental design for an electronic device with graphical user interface, as shown and described. As we all know that Apple’s Ex-Employee who lead the team for Antennae design in iPhone 4 – Mark Papermaster, hasn’t been credited for the nitriding stainless steel band. Guess who got credited for that – Steve Jobs. Ouch!
Apple also got the design patent for the first generation iPod touch and once again, Steve Jobs has been credited as one of the designers for it. USPTO also granted other patents related to the Apple TV and iTunes. However, one of the important patent was awarded for the touch display that doubles as RFID tag reader.
