iOS Hacker Found A Bug in iOS 5, Possibility Of Untethered JailBreak

@pod2g, an iOS hacker has found a bug in iOS 5 which could be used for untethered JailBreak. Currently, we have a tethered JailBreak of iOS 5 based on limera1n bootrom exploit of Geohot which is associated with the hardware. Undoubtedly, there is a semi-tethered JailBreak for iOS 5 from BigBoss repository, but it is only the solution at the time of urgency. It means that not all function would work after the reboot.

Untethered JailBreak is a solution to that problem. We have not seen any comments from MuscleNerd about this bug. Though it is assumed that it would be something different from the userland exploit. If this bug lasts for long, hackers would be able to survive this untethered JailBreak for a long time. However, Chronic DevTeam has already told us about five userland based exploits at MyGreatFest. Anyhow, this bug can be used as an alternative to save those userland exploits until the fix is not issued from Apple.

@pod2g has also notified that he would work hard to make it a possibility in iOS 5.0. Even if he becomes successful, we won’t see it until iPhone 4S JailBreak is made public. Are you waiting for it? Let’s know in the comment section.
