Apple Could Learn From BB OS 10 (Blackberry 2013)

iPhone OS (or now known as iOS) is without a doubt the most refined, stable and powerful mobile platform in todays age. While Android takes away the masses, anyone who has used both the platforms for a while would easily tell us the difference. But there are things that Android has done and iOS has followed, Notifications Center is one of them. The jailbreaking community had that covered long before Apple brought it in officially. Similarly Windows Phone and the upcoming Blackberry OS revamp; BB 10 has things that Apple could learn from.

iOS has been monotonous with the UI, yet effective. Apple may see a room for disruption, but even if it considers its slow and steady addition of features, there are things that it could do. One example is the camera on BB OS 10, which go to and fro In time after clicking a photo to get the right moment captured. It is a small hack, something that Apple could have done easily and it is much more useful than the Panorama mode that iOS 6 revealed. Here is a video of the BB OS 10 camera in action.

Apple has had its learnings from Android and they have done well to listen to iOS users and fix critical features for good, be it Copy / Paste or notifications on the lock-screen, perhaps give some credit to BB 10 as well?
