Would There Be A JailBreak in 2013?

Apple released iOS 6.0 in September and until now, there’s no properly functional JailBreak for iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. In the meantime, Apple also released an iPhone, an iPad mini, a whole new fourth generation iPad and new iPods. We have had previously seen iOS hackers posting images with Cydia on newly released devices which made us believe, even if for sometime, that the JailBreak would arrive anytime soon. However, all our expectations went in vain.

At first, i0n1c informed on Twitter that Apple has further tightened the security in iOS 6.1 which would make it even more difficult to JailBreak upcoming firmwares in future. And now, a popular hacker known as Charlie Miller, who has a record to find vulnerabilities in mobile safari has predicted that there wouldn’t be any public JailBreak available for iOS Devices in 2013.

Thankfully, there’s a workaround for A4 devices such as iPod touch 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 which still let them to be JailBroken even though tethered on iOS 6.0.1, while other devices needs to wait a bit longer. According to MuscleNerd, a DevTeam member, the JailBreak which was being teased to us often is related to the developer account. Due to which it’s impossible for the hackers to make it public because the dev account could be made compromised.

That’s what they call the type of JailBreak as ‘FailBreak’. Until and unless they figure out a way and hopefully they would, the JailBreak would be made public. But considering whatsoever has been said on the current scenario of JailBreak, we are skeptical that there would a JailBreak even in 2013. Anyways, we would not lose hope and count on iOS hackers to come up with one pretty soon.

What do you think? Do you need a JailBreak? Let’s know in comment section.
