Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems and Apple have inked a deal to bring the iPhone 3G to Russia by October. The iPhone has already spread to over 20 countries today and the third installment would be even bigger. Eventually covering over 70 countries. Supporting the offical tie-ups and sales is the Crackdown on illegal iPhone unlocking.
Initially it was announced that iPhone would make it to Russia only by end of the year, but this deal between MTS and Apple has come a little early; enough to surprise us.
