Troubled with too frequent call drops on his iPhone, Manoj decided to go and get his device checked at the Apple Geniusbar. However while the Apple reps gave a clean chit to the iPhone 3G hardware, they did confirm that there is a 22% call drop rate on his iPhone. However the interesting / shocking part is that Mr Manoj Gupta was informed that his iPhone on AT&T network in NY was performing better than the average, with 30% call drop rate being the official figure.
Perhaps Apple should mention the REAL Price one pays for getting the iPhone for $99, i.e. AT&T’s reliable network 😛
