A recent patent filing by Apple has re-spurred the talk about the Tablet / Touch Netbook that we was being rumored since long and supposedly as to be released last month. However this has been one of the many Apple rumors that first excited and then disappointed us.
Since over a month we have been following a policy on not to write on any Apple Tablet or Netbook rumors and we have stuck to it so far. And here we have some little buzz again on this topic with some facts in place. Apparently Apple has filed a patent for multitouch technology that can read all ten fingers together and also distinguish different commands for finger and palm gestures. Though we have seen the Microsoft surface handle 52 touches all at once, this Apple technology is rumored to be hinting towards the Tablet plans cooking up in Cupertino. If our guess is right, this will come up against the Microsoft Courier Concept.
Apple is reportedly working on a tablet concept since many years only to scrap the prototypes without a final release. If rumors are to be believed this project is Steve Job’s no 1 priority currently and we might well see the announcement in Jan 2010.
